Your First Visit

Your first visit to Dr. Udis and Dr. Tokasz's office establishes a vital foundation for our relationship. Aside from gathering important information, this is an opportunity for us to listen and learn about you and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Our orthodontic practice is dedicated to providing the finest quality orthodontic treatment in a friendly, enjoyable and caring environment. It is our goal to create:

• an enthusiastic and dedicated staff.

During your first visit, in addition to finding out about you, and gathering medical information, the doctor will examine your mouth and use this information to evaluate the need for and timing of orthodontic treatment. The doctor's recommendations will be discussed with you, and your questions answered.

If treatment is recommended, the next step would be diagnostic records, which include x-rays, photographs, and impressions of the teeth. These records, along with your medical information provide the foundation to create a custom treatment plan for you. The diagnostic records can be done at the end of the initial visit, or scheduled for another time, depending on your schedule.

Once the diagnostic records have been evaluated, and a treatment plan created, you will return to our office for a consultation appointment, approximately two weeks later. At the consultation appointment, the doctor will review the specific details of the orthodontic concerns and recommended treatment, and give you the opportunity to ask questions about the proposed treatment. Our financial coordinator will review the fees for your specific case and options for payment, including our interest-free payment plan. We will discuss how to maximize any orthodontic insurance benefits you may have and review any necessary paperwork.

At this time we will also schedule the intial treatment appointment, which depending on the treatment type, would be a 1-2 hour appointment. Then you're on your way to a beautiful, healthy smile!
